Noubikko Wears Black Almost Every Day
The Philosophy Behind Simplicity, Discipline, and Quiet Luxury
People asked the same question. “Noubikko… why are you always wearing black?”
Black T-shirt.
Black polo shirt.
Black blazer.
Black pants.
Black shoes.
Black socks.
Sometimes people look at him like either:
- a minimalist philosopher,
- or a retired secret agent,
But honestly? His main reason is very simple. He said, "I don’t want to think too much about what to wear every morning". That’s it.
Fashion people become shocked when they hear this.
They expect a dramatic answer involving Paris runways, artistic suffering, spiritual darkness, or postmodern emotional architecture.
No.
I simply don’t want to waste brain cells deciding:
“Should I wear beige today?”
“What shade of blue represents my emotional condition?”
“Does this green shirt make me look wise or unemployed?”
Black solves everything.
It works for breakfast.
It works for business meetings.
It works for airports.
It works for unexpected dinners.
It even works when somebody suddenly says:
“There’s a formal event tonight.”
I’m already ready.
That’s the beauty of simplicity.
If you open my drawer, you will probably think:
“Did this man accidentally duplicate his entire wardrobe?”
Everything looks almost the same.
Even the brands.
People think successful people (if you think of me like that) live complicated lives.
Because life already gives enough decisions:
business,
travel,
people,
meetings,
stress,
airports,
immigration officers staring at you like you personally caused inflation.
Why should clothing become another emotional crisis?
So yes…
Noubikko wears black almost every day.
The only different color is my undergarment. He said "
Even my eyeglasses are simple. Just a little touch of red design, he said
A quiet rebellion. Enough personality to say: “Yes, he still has emotions.”
Luxury is not loud. Luxury is efficiency. Simplicity does not mean lack of sophistication. Simplicity is often highly engineered intelligently.
That is why many highly creative people are fashion minimalists.
I wear black because I no longer need fashion to explain who I am. The clothing has already become quiet. So the mind can become louder.
My apartment features the same simplicity.
No unnecessary chaos. The only colorful things are usually the fruit and fruit juices. I love fruits, he said.
My apartment is my personal haven. I don't have parties. Home is very personal. There is nothing to see in my apartment anyway, just a Big screen TV and a nice sound system. Documents, paperwork... everything is digitalized and is in the cloud, no clutter. this feels peaceful.” That is intentional; the modern world is already noisy enough.
Phones are noisy. News is noisy. Social media is noisy. People online are fighting emotionally over things nobody will remember next Tuesday.
So when I go home… I want silence. I want simplicity.
Even my body weight has remained almost the same since my twenties. 148-156 lbs. Not because I'm obsessed with appearance. But because discipline eventually becomes a lifestyle.
I eat simply: boiled eggs. Bananas. Camote. Eggplant. Olive and Balsamic Oil. I only spoil myself when I'm out at a party. I'm embarrassed to choose what is not served at a party. Honestly, that is already a luxury treat meal.
Even in Business Lounges and flights, I choose the simpler one…
People think happiness requires extravagant living. Black clothes and a good coffee make everything complete. Happiness is simple: good sleep, peaceful silence, and not owing emotional explanations to everybody.
Black clothing is complete. I don’t wear jewelry. Just a watch, and a simple rosary i hang around my neck. I actually pray with it. Every day, I find decoration and meaning, simple things with purpose.
I am easy to maintain. You don’t need fireworks to make me happy.
